The controller responsible for data processing within the meaning of Art. 5 lit. j revFADP (Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection) and Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR is:

Ardenum is currently a private project without a legal entity. The responsible person is the natural person Richard Dolmetsch.
2. Scope
This privacy policy applies exclusively to the website ardenum.io. It does not apply to any product applications hosted under other subdomains, which provide separate information where applicable.
3. Types of data processed
Ardenum.io is a static information page. When you visit the site, only the following technically necessary data is processed by the hosting provider and stored in server logs:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- requested URL
- HTTP status code and amount of data transferred
- referrer URL (if transmitted by the browser)
- user-agent string (browser and device type)
No forms are offered, no cookies are set, no tracking, no analytics and no newsletter or contact-form data is collected.
4. Purposes of processing
The data listed in section 3 is processed exclusively for the following purposes:
- delivery and technical operation of the website
- ensuring IT security (detection and defence against attacks)
- error analysis in the event of technical faults

- revFADP (Switzerland): overriding legitimate interest in the secure and error-free operation of the website.
- GDPR (EU): Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in the secure operation of the website.
6. Processors
The website is hosted by:

Vercel acts as a processor within the meaning of Art. 9 revFADP and Art. 28 GDPR. A corresponding data-processing agreement is in place.
No other third-party services are used on ardenum.io. Web fonts (Space Grotesk, Inter) are served locally from the same server; no connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font service.
7. International transfers
As long as delivery occurs via Vercel’s European region, no personal data is actively transferred to third countries. Vercel Inc. as US parent company maintains Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission and is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For Switzerland, the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (in force since 15 September 2024) applies. An adequate level of data protection within the meaning of Art. 16 f. revFADP and Art. 45 GDPR is thus ensured.
8. Retention period
Server logs are automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 days, unless security-related incidents require longer retention.
9. Cookies
Ardenum.io does not set any cookies. Neither local storage nor session storage is used.
10. Automated individual decisions
No automated individual decisions within the meaning of Art. 21 revFADP or Art. 22 GDPR take place on ardenum.io.
11. Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access the data processed about you (Art. 25 revFADP, Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 32(1) revFADP, Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 32(2)(c) revFADP, Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 28 revFADP, Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing (Art. 30(2) revFADP, Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdraw any consent given with effect for the future
To exercise these rights, an informal message to hello@ardenum.io is sufficient. Proof of identity may be requested as protection against misuse.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority:

13. Data security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to ensure data security (TLS encryption, up-to-date software, access restrictions).

This privacy policy may be amended at any time in response to changes to the offering or the legal framework. The version currently published on ardenum.io is authoritative.
15. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies exclusively. Place of jurisdiction is Zürich, to the extent permitted by law.
